Your field records are private. Online planning still needs a selected location and date. Optional encrypted backup is a separate choice.

Separate choices
Personalization and optional encrypted Vault backup are separate controls. Online scans still send the selected location and date.
Pro and your opt-in enable the local overlay. Only eligible, confirmed observations with matching place, date and habitat can contribute; more saved records does not mean they all apply. Turning Private Radar off preserves your archive. Online Check still sends the selected location, date and request parameters to the service. Optional encrypted Vault backup is a separate choice, not public model training.
You can delete the encrypted Private Vault copy on the server at any time in the app under Settings › Data & Privacy › Delete Server Backup. Records on your iPhone stay in place.
